Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate must have 2+ years experience driving a tractor trailer and will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Will also be responsible for spotting our forklift drivers while they load/unload and carry alum coils. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. This position is Mon - Fri 11pm - 7am
Duties
- Operate 53' van tractor-trailers
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including trip sheets for hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
- Assist forklift drivers by spotting them while they load/unload and carry alum coils
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in truck driving is required.
- Familiarity with both manual & automatic transmission vehicles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
- A commitment to safety protocols and best practices in truck driving.
- Must pass pre-employment & random drug tests
