Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing insulation materials in commercial buildings to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of various insulation techniques and materials, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Install insulation for duct, chill water pipe, boiler rooms, and attics using various materials such as fiberglass, foam, or cellulose.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas accurately.
- Ensure proper sealing and finishing of insulation to prevent air leaks.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and painters, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Perform quality checks on insulation installations to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
- Assist in the fabrication of insulation components as needed.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to building systems and insulation materials.
- Ability to fabricate custom insulation solutions based on project specifications.
- Experience with metal stud framing is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
