Job Description:
We are growing the Avionics Engineering team to support development of our aircraft. Our team is designing a flight critical, custom avionics system to support communications, compute, AI, power, telemetry, and all other needed aircraft systems.
An Avionics Specialist/Sr. Technician - High Voltage supports the entire Avionics team and other cross-functional teams. It is an essential role spanning design, verification, procurement, manufacturing, and test. You will work specifically with the Power Systems team as they design and verify all aircraft high voltage power systems. This includes the generator, battery, and all power converters.
What you'll do:
- Set up and execute test campaigns for custom circuits and sub-systems such as verifying logic levels, voltage rails, and basic circuit functions
- Perform benchtop PCBA testing and debugging
- Support engineers through environmental qualification that includes temperature, vibration, altitude, humidity, etc.
- Design, verify, and deploy simple PCBAs, fixtures, and harnesses
- Assist with the avionics lab design and buildout
Required qualifications
- 2+ years working around high voltage, high power systems. Such as 270V and higher
- Experience performing benchtop testing with basic EE equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, electronic load, thermal chamber, etc.)
- Experience performing PCBA and harness rework
- Proficiency reading and interpreting schematics
- Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc…
- Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results
- Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
- Ability to obtain a S//SAR level security clearance desired.

Pay: $36.00 - $54.00 per hour
