Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks and personal vehicles to complete daily routes.
- Load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Deliver parcels directly to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring accurate and courteous service.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines, and safe lifting practices during all driving and delivery activities.
- Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication with dispatch teams.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage warehouse operations related to package storage, sorting, and inventory control when necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience or experience in delivery driving is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is a plus.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Proven ability to lift heavy packages safely while following proper manual handling techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe lifting practices required for heavy weight handling in the workplace.
- Experience using mobile devices for route management or delivery confirmation preferred.
