Overview
McCoy Group LLC is seeking a dependable independent subcontractor to assist with the final phase of sidewalk and driveway restoration projects throughout Jefferson Parish.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in construction, concrete, landscaping, demolition, or general labor who own a truck or trailer and are looking for consistent weekly work with a flexible schedule.
Subcontractors are assigned completed concrete locations requiring cleanup and site restoration. Most weeks consist of 15–20 or more work order locations, with opportunities to complete multiple locations each day.
Scope of Work
Responsibilities include:
- Remove wooden forms and stakes after concrete has cured.
- Stack forms neatly in designated areas.
- Remove all concrete debris and leave each site clean.
- Ensure no exposed nails, screws, or other hazards remain.
- Place topsoil where required.
- Install sod where required.
- Pick up company-provided sod and topsoil as needed.
- Saw cut control joints in sidewalks only when directed.
- Follow project specifications and leave every location in a safe, professional condition.
Projects range from small sidewalk repairs (approximately 4' × 4') to full driveway aprons with curb replacement.
Schedule
- Approximately 15–20+ work order locations available each week.
- Assigned work orders must generally be completed within 72 hours after assignment unless otherwise approved.
- Work may be performed any day of the week during applicable local construction/noise ordinance hours, allowing subcontractors flexibility in scheduling.
Materials Provided
McCoy Group LLC provides:
Subcontractors are responsible for transporting these materials from the designated pickup location.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Reliable truck or trailer.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current automobile insurance.
- Ability to perform outdoor physical labor.
- Ability to lift, carry, and remove construction materials and debris.
- Basic construction hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Prior experience with concrete work, demolition, landscaping, construction cleanup, or general labor is preferred but not required.
Insurance & Documentation
Before work can begin, subcontractors must provide:
- Completed W-9.
- Signed Independent Contractor Agreement.
- Proof of current automobile insurance.
- Commercial General Liability Insurance.
Compensation
Compensation is $25 per approved completed work order location.
Payment will be issued within 30 days after work has been completed, inspected, approved, and invoiced.
