Our client, a publicly traded investment company with a significant portfolio of infrastructure and energy investments, is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to join its growing accounting team.
This role will serve as a key technical accounting resource for the organization, evaluating complex transactions, researching and documenting accounting conclusions, partnering with investment and finance teams, and supporting quarterly and annual reporting activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CPA with a strong public accounting foundation who enjoys solving complex accounting issues and wants exposure to sophisticated transactions in a dynamic and growing environment.

Research, analyze, and document technical accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP

Prepare and review accounting memos and policy documentation

Evaluate accounting treatment for complex investment and financing transactions

Partner with finance, legal, investment, and operations teams regarding transaction structuring and accounting implications

Support accounting for equity method investments and complex investment structures
-
Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
-
Support SOX compliance and internal control initiatives
-
Participate in impairment and other technical accounting analyses
-
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
-
CPA designation
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
-
6+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong public accounting foundation
-
Experience working with publicly traded companies
-
Technical accounting research experience
-
Experience drafting accounting position papers and memos
-
Knowledge of SEC reporting and SOX compliance requirements
-
Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience
-
Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, or Audit Manager background
-
Experience with complex investment structures

Exposure to financial services, investment management, infrastructure, REIT, or energy-related industries
Experience with several of the following is preferred:

Base salary: $155,000 - $190,000

Annual bonus: 15%-25%
