Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products, offering personalized recommendations and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished throughout the day
- Upsell products by highlighting specials, new arrivals, or complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features, benefits, and usage tips
- Assist in merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that draw customer attention and promote featured items
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or specialty food environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Strong communication skills and bilingual abilities are highly valued for engaging diverse customer bases
