Morning Prep / Line Cook
$18–$22/hour DOE | Part-Time | Primarily Daytime Hours | Kitchen Experience Required
Schedule
- Part-time
- 3-5 days a week
- Approximately: 10:00AM to 3:30PM
- Weekend availability required
- Additional hours available during busy periods and special events
We're looking for an experienced prep/line cook who can do more than work through a checklist.
This position helps set the kitchen up for the day: completing prep, maintaining pars, setting stations and working lunch service as needed. We're looking for someone organized and self-directed who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it.
The right person is comfortable working independently, has solid knife skills, understands basic prep and food-safety standards, and takes pride in leaving the kitchen better prepared for the next service.
What you'll do:
- Complete daily prep accurately and efficiently
- Check pars and identify additional prep needs
- Set and stock stations for service
- Prepare sauces, vegetables, proteins and other menu components
- Rotate and label product properly using FIFO
- Communicate low product, shortages and prep needs
- Work a line station during lunch as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Assist with receiving and putting away product as needed
We're looking for someone who:
- Has professional kitchen experience
- Has solid knife skills and works efficiently
- Understands food safety, labeling and FIFO
- Doesn't need to be given a new task every time one is completed
- Communicates when something is low, missing or isn't right
- Is dependable and ready to work at the beginning of the shift
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys the production side of a kitchen and likes the satisfaction of getting a kitchen properly set for service.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
