Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements to enhance the overall dining experience. Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as 7Rooms
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations accurately
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide exceptional guest services throughout their visit
- Support food safety and cleanliness standards in the host area to ensure a hygienic environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting, with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest counts
- Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to hospitality environments
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow effectively
- Experience with POS systems is preferred
- Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest relations and positive guest experiences
