Vehicle Readiness Advisor

Position Summary
The Vehicle Readiness Advisor is responsible for owning a vehicle's journey from arrival through frontline-ready status. This role serves as the quarterback of the reconditioning process ensuring vehicles move efficiently through the reconditioning process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating multiple departments, vendors, and priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Success in this role requires strong communication, follow-through, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering vehicles that meet Truck Ranch's quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Intake & Check-In
- Own all arriving vehicles through the intake and check-in process
- Verify vehicle arrival, tagging, documentation, and system accuracy
- Coordinate vehicle movement and staging throughout the production process
Production Management
- Own vehicle progression through all reconditioning stages, including:
- Estimate approval
- Mechanical repair
- Cosmetic repair
- Detail
- Photography
- Frontline-ready completion
- Monitor vehicle status daily and proactively remove production bottlenecks
- Communicate status updates and completion timelines to leadership
- Ensure vehicles meet cycle time, cost, and quality metrics
Vendor & Sublet Coordination
- Schedule and manage all outside vendor and sublet services
- Coordinate transportation and movement of vehicles requiring outside repairs
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors while ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost control
- Track vendor performance and follow up on overdue work
Quality Control & Vehicle Readiness
- Perform final quality control inspections prior to vehicle release
- Review repair orders for completeness and accuracy
- Compare completed repairs against the vehicle's vAuto retail plan
- Verify all approved repairs and reconditioning work have been completed to Truck Ranch standards
- Ensure vehicle condition aligns with merchandising expectations and retail readiness standards
- Approve vehicles for transport readiness and frontline placement
Qualifications
- Automotive dealership, service, reconditioning, or inventory management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair, reconditioning, and quality standards
- Ability to read and review repair orders and repair estimates
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with dealership management and inventory systems
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of accountability
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
