Position Summary:
The Pool Cleaner is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and properly balanced swimming pools and related equipment at customer locations. This position performs routine pool cleaning and maintenance services while providing excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with company safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, customer-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Training will be provided for all responsibilities.
- Inspect and evaluate swimming pools, pool decks, and mechanical equipment to ensure safe operation and proper maintenance
- Clean and maintain swimming pools, filter systems, skimmer baskets, and related equipment
- Maintain safe, chemically balanced, and sanitized swimming pools in accordance with company standards
- Keep assigned route truck adequately stocked with equipment, chemicals, tools, and supplies necessary to complete daily service routes
- Maintain required maintenance logs, inventory records, and equipment cleaning documentation
- Respond to customer and management inquiries regarding pool operation, maintenance, and sanitation
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction
- Practice safe driving and work habits in compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies
- Travel to customer locations throughout assigned service areas
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills:
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
· Ability to swim in water depths of 3 feet or greater
· Ability to work Monday through Friday with overtime as needed
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and post-offer background check
· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
· Ability to comply with all company safety policies and procedures
· Willingness to travel up to 75% of the work shift
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Good manual dexterity and physical stamina
· Ability to carry, push, stand, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods
· Ability to perform technical and repetitive job tasks efficiently
· Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing job conditions
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Education, Licensing, and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and minimum of 3 years driving experience
· Must meet company fleet insurability requirements and minimum age requirement of 23 years old
Physical Requirements:
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying
· Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
· Ability to safely enter and work around swimming pools and wet environments
· Exposure to chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, heat, cold, and humidity

Those characteristics include outdoor work environment with frequent travel to residential and/or commercial customer locations and exposure to pool chemicals, water, weather conditions, and moving equipment.
