Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drawer builder/Packaging person to join our team. We are a small cabinet manufacturer in Elkhart that offers a family atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging, drawer build and inspecting. Candidates should be able to read English and be able to understand work orders and cut sheets. Must be proficient using hand and power tools and be able to read a tape measure. The position involves physical labor, including some heavy lifting, ability to stand an 8 hour shift and have good attention to safety, quality and be detail oriented.
Responsibilities
- Read and Interpret work orders and cut lists. Ability to read in English is a must.
- Assemble cabinet drawers, install hardware and put together kits .
- Assist in packaging of the cabinets, and drawers.
- Inspecting the finished product. Quality and accuracy are a must.
- Ability to operate hand tools, and power tools, and accuracy reading a tape measure.
- Measure and cut materials accurately for various projects using woodworking skills
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and complies with company quality policies.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet all company quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in woodworking and cabinet assembly
- Solid experience with inspection of the finished product. Must be quality oriented.
- Experience reading work orders and cut list. Ability to read in English is required.
- Hands-on experience with packaging the final product.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
