Quality Engineer

We're recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a well-established, employee-owned manufacturer in Oxford, CT.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing environment supporting industries including medical, defense and technology, with a strong focus on quality, precision and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Program and operate CMM and automated inspection equipment
- Develop inspection programs for new and existing products
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Complete MSA, Gage R&R and process capability studies
- Create and maintain inspection plans
- Calibrate inspection and measuring equipment
- Review engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
- Support statistical process control and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with quality fixture development
- Train and support technicians on inspection equipment and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- 3+ years' CMM programming experience
- Strong GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading skills
- Experience with SPC, SQC, MSA, Gage R&R and process capability studies
- Proficient using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers and height gauges
