Traffic Control Technician & Flagger

This is outdoor, safety-sensitive construction work. This position requires:
- Outdoor work year-round in heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Physical labor, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Early morning start times
- Varying schedules based on customer needs, weather, emergencies, and construction schedules
- Overtime when projects run late
- Occasional weekend and emergency work
- Daily travel to jobsites throughout Southeast Michigan
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Chauffeur’s License
- Employment subject to company drug and alcohol testing requirements, including THC, as permitted by law
- Employment subject to company background screening requirements
- Work around active traffic, construction equipment, and roadway hazards

JOB SUMMARY
Work as part of a team to perform Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) and flagging operations for construction, utility, and roadway projects throughout Southeast Michigan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with setup and removal of Temporary Traffic Control operations
- Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including signs, cones, barrels, and arrow boards
- Follow traffic control plans, company procedures, and supervisor instructions
- Complete required training and certification programs
- Operate company vehicles, trailers, arrow boards, and approved equipment
- Inspect, maintain, and assist with repairs of traffic control equipment
- Operate hand tools and basic power tools
- Perform work in accordance with the Michigan Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MMUTCD)
- Participate in safety meetings and training
- Work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends when required
- Perform other duties related to traffic control operations
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Chauffeur's License
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime and varying schedules
- Ability to safely operate motor vehicles for extended periods when required
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, including THC
- Ability to meet company background screening requirements
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions
