Duties
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cuts, styling, coloring, highlights, and hair extensions using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombré.
- Execute precise grooming services like straight razor shaves, beard trims, and facial hair shaping to deliver classic barbering excellence.
- Apply makeup and eyelash extensions to enhance clients’ natural beauty for special occasions or everyday wear.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations following industry regulations to ensure client safety.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, process transactions, and manage client records efficiently.
- Offer retail sales of hair care products, styling tools, and accessories through effective upselling strategies to boost revenue.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening attentively to client needs, offering style consultations, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, answering inquiries, and managing walk-in clients seamlessly.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling techniques, sanitation practices, and customer engagement strategies.
- Stay informed about current trends in hair fashion, color theory, and new products to continually enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in professional hair styling and grooming services.
- Proficiency in advanced techniques such as hair extensions application, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and industry best practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Familiarity with salon management software like MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and retail tracking.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their unique preferences.
- Demonstrated ability in retail sales with experience in upselling products confidently without pressuring clients.
- Ability to perform detailed work with precision using tools such as straight razors and threading equipment.
