We’re seeking an experienced Painter who takes pride in delivering flawless, automotive-grade finishes. If you have a strong background in spray application, paint mixing, and surface prep—and you care about doing the job right the first time—you’ll fit right in.
This is a hands-on role where your skill and attention to detail directly impact the final product.
You’ll own the full painting process from prep to finish:
Surface Prep & Setup

Chemically clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for paint

Sand, buff, and refine surfaces using DA sanders, buffers, and hand tools

Mask and prep components to ensure clean, precise finishes
-
Mix single-stage urethane paints using computerized systems for exact color matching
Spray Application

Apply coatings using HVLP gravity-fed spray guns
-
Deliver consistent, high-end automotive-quality finishes across all products

Identify and correct imperfections (runs, orange peel, coverage issues)
Equipment & Materials Management

Maintain and clean spray equipment and paint systems
-
Accurately match part numbers, work orders, and paint codes

Safely handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials
Quality & Continuous Improvement

Read blueprints and ensure builds meet exact customer specifications

Support process improvements and quality initiatives

Assist with paint inventory and material tracking

Cross-train and contribute across the department as needed

Proven experience in automotive or industrial painting

Strong knowledge of HVLP spray techniques and finish quality standards

Experience with urethane paints, paint codes, and mixing systems

Ability to troubleshoot finish defects and adjust technique accordingly

Solid math skills and attention to detail

Comfort working in a production paint booth environment

Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
You’ll be working in a professional paint booth environment where safety is critical.

Required PPE includes respirator, paint suit, gloves, apron, and boots

Strict adherence to safety and handling procedures is expected
Full-time, Monday - Friday and Saturday's based on the business needs

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

High School Diploma, GED or higher level education and 3 years experience or the equivalent combination.

Working knowledge of all aspects of single stage automotive painting including all associated equipment and processes

Math proficiency – Accuracy in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Accuracy in computing ratios, rates, and percentages. Accuracy in mathematical reasoning to calculate product needed to complete production requirements.

Measuring proficiency – Accuracy in the use and reading of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, depth gauges, etc.

Reading comprehension – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and safety instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Proficient computer skills (email, MRP/ERP, internet, etc.)

Forklift license and operating experience
