Header: Duties
- Prepare, dispense, and verify medications accurately using pharmacy software systems, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications.
- Assist pharmacists with medication management tasks such as pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation adherence, and inventory control.
- Support patient care by providing medication information, answering queries, and ensuring proper medication intake procedures are followed.
- Maintain strict compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, healthcare regulations, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards to ensure safety and legal adherence.
- Perform data entry tasks related to prescription processing, medication records, and patient information while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support hospital or community pharmacy operations by assisting with medication administration, IV infusion preparation, and aseptic technique procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of medication dispensing activities and participate in quality assurance audits related to drug regulation and pharmacy practice standards.

- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician with LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, clinical pharmacy, or hospital pharmacy backgrounds preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological terminology, and acute care procedures.
- Expertise in pharmaceutical calculations, sterile IV compounding, aseptic techniques, and sterile IV admixture procedures.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient service and patient care delivery.
- Ability to adhere to all state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and federal pharmacy laws diligently.
- Competence in data entry accuracy while maintaining high levels of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive patient information.
- Spanish speaking is a must
