Job Summary
At CADY, our Finance team is building a best-in-class accounting organization that provides timely, accurate financial information and strategic insights to support a rapidly growing business. As the Accounting Manager, you will be a key leader within the Accounting team, responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting while overseeing the company's accounting operations and treasury function.
This highly visible role serves as the operational leader of the accounting department, reporting to and partnering closely with the VP & Corporate Controller to execute an efficient monthly close, maintain strong internal controls, and deliver reliable financial reporting. You will lead the day-to-day accounting team, oversee cash and treasury operations, drive continuous process improvements, and help build scalable processes that support CADY's continued growth.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys leading people, improving processes, solving problems, and building an accounting organization that can scale alongside the business.
Responsibilities
Accounting Leadership

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring an accurate and timely close.

Manage the close calendar and coordinate activities across the accounting team.

Review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet through reconciliations, rollforwards, and analytical reviews.

Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.

Own various aspects of monthly financial reporting packages, management reporting, and variance analysis.

Oversee accounting for revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred revenue, leases (ASC 842), fixed assets, debt, and equity.

Oversee daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll accounting, and treasury activities.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Partner with the VP & Corporate Controller on technical accounting matters, accounting policies, and financial reporting initiatives.
Treasury & Cash Management

Lead the company's treasury operations, including daily cash positioning, liquidity management, and disbursement planning.

Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash forecasts to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Manage banking relationships, bank account administration, authorized signers, and treasury documentation.

Oversee treasury controls, including Positive Pay, ACH and wire controls, fraud prevention, and banking compliance.

Maintain debt, covenant compliance, and treasury reporting schedules.

Reconcile bank accounts and merchant processor activity while identifying opportunities to improve cash management processes.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Lead, coach, and develop the growing accounting team, including the Staff Accountant, AP Specialist, and Accounting Intern, in addition to proactively planning for scale and company growth

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within Sage Intacct and other financial systems to improve efficiency and scalability.

Strengthen internal controls and improve the quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial information.

Support annual audits, tax compliance activities, and external reporting requirements.

Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve financial processes across the organization.

Support acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives as the company continues to grow.
Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, & Education)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

CPA required
-
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior supervisory or management experience

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting, including revenue recognition (ASC 606)

Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) helpful

Proven experience managing month end and year end close processes
-
Treasury or cash management experience, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting
-
Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) and strong Excel skills
-
Desire to automate work through technology and AI; we want candidates who have heightened curiosity for how AI can drive efficiency

Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls

Prior experience in a fast paced or high growth environment (preferred)
