Overview:
We seek an experienced full- or part-time Field Engineer/Inspector to join our team.
Your daily responsibilities will involve providing on-site technical support, conducting inspections, and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulations. You will play a critical role in the implementation and oversight of standard operational practices in landfill, oil & gas, and civil construction projects.

Objectives of this role
· Collaborating with project managers and crews to understand project requirements and technical objectives.
· Performing on-site equipment installations, testing, maintenance, repairs, and technical inspections at landfill and oil & gas project locations.
· Troubleshooting technical issues, diagnosing problems and providing effective solutions in real time.
· Providing technical training and support to field technicians and operations personnel.
· Maintaining detailed documentation of field activities, technical issues, and resolutions.
· Ensuring the safety and compliance of all field operations.
Your tasks:
· Conduct field inspections and ensure that regulatory specifications are met.
· Follow lift and fill plans, conduct airspace surveys, monitor cell life, compaction rates, and related landfill operational metrics.
· Diagnose regulatory issues and implement changes in operations to better suit long-term goals.
· Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive measures to ensure equipment reliability.
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure that projects progress according to requirements and specifications.
· Maintain accurate and organized records of field activities, equipment maintenance, surveys, and operational metrics.
· Assist in optimizing field operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
· Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the industry to enhance field operations and drive innovation.
Required skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Engineering, Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
· 2+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or Field Inspector or in a related technical role, showcasing your ability to perform technical tasks in the field.
· Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address technical issues effectively.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Project management abilities for coordinating and managing field activities.
· Knowledge of safety and quality control practices in field operations.
· Physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging field conditions.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred skills and qualifications
· Experience in field engineering for specific industries (Landfill Operations, Oil & Gas Construction or Civil Construction).
· Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
· Knowledge of emerging field technologies and trends.
· Geotechnical and soils testing
· Experience with heavy equipment and basic mechanical knowledge.
