Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients of all ages. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, and daily living activities
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises for continued progress at home
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient record
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Acute care experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and occupational health
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and their application in therapy - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
