Essential Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and quality outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Perform patient assessments, obtain health histories, monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients for endoscopic procedures, while assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Support patient safety initiatives through infection prevention practices, specimen management, equipment handling, and adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Educate patients and families regarding procedure preparation, recovery expectations, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Contribute to a positive team environment through flexibility, cross-functional support, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient-care skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Two (2) years of Endoscopy, GI, procedural, or ambulatory surgery nursing experience.

CNOR certification.
-
PALS certification, if applicable to patient population.
