DUTIES
Assists Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor in all duties.
Designs, fabricates, installs, calibrates, maintains and repairs new and existing electrical and
electronic equipment.
Assembles, installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies wiring, conduit, junction
boxes, control panel components and sub-assemblies.
Performs soldering, terminal staking, network and co-ax connections.
Reads schematics and wiring diagrams and wires instrumentation accordingly.
Drafts schematics, diagrams and blueprints as required.
Must obtain state water treatment license and perform relief operator duties.
Works any shift, overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
Perform other maintenance duties as assigned and assist other maintenance employees as required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Trade school certification or Associate Degree in an engineering technology or related field
preferred with at least two (2) years of experience as an electrician or electronic technician which
clearly demonstrates the necessary abilities and skills.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license and state water treatment license.
Incumbent must possess a working knowledge of hand tools, materials, methods, theories,
electrical codes, standards and practices used in the design, installation, and maintenance of
electrical and electronic equipment and components.
Must have the ability to interpret blueprints and technical manuals, plus draw and interpret
schematics and wiring diagrams.
Must possess excellent mechanical and analytical abilities.
Must have experience in use of specialized hand tools and test equipment.
Computer experience helpful.
Knowledge of surveying, drafting, and/or construction practices helpful.
RESPONSIBILITY
Work requires accuracy in completing assigned tasks. Work is performed under limited
supervision with incumbent reporting to either the Maintenance Manager or the Maintenance
Supervisor.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
Effort is regularly exerted including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and lifting. Some
assignments will require working above or below floor or ground level in an abnormal or cramped
position and in all weather conditions. Must possess manual dexterity. In addition incumbent
must meet and/or perform all established physical requirements.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Exposed to temperatures, noise, and various traffic conditions. Exposed to hazardous working
conditions including working on ladders, in confined spaces, and around chemicals and
environmental gases. Substantial exposure to the hazards of working with electrical components.
