Route Relief Driver
Location: Poway, CA

Northstar Cold Logistics provides access to the most recognized and popular brands in the world with industry best product variety and customer service. We deliver to Major Grocery, Drug, Gas & Convenience, chain retailers and independent retailers across Southern California through Direct to Store Delivery (DSD), and Warehouse Fulfillment, and provide services for mobile vendors, and corporate events.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Route Relief Driver to join our delivery team. The Route Relief Driver is accountable for the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of Northstar products to customer locations in accordance with established procedures.
Key duties and responsibilities
· Ensure all customer deliveries are conducted according to established procedures
· Provide coverage on routes and deliveries when needed
· Provide first class service to all Northstar customers to build/maintain quality customer relationships
· Assist with freezer deliveries and special events
· Responsible for loading and unloading products and delivering them to customer locations
· Maximize sales through promoting & upselling the Northstar product line through direct customer contact
· Exercise effective merchandising as per vendor/customer planograms upon each delivery
· Maintain safe driving and zero preventable accidents
· Perform other duties within the scope of the role as assigned
Key Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum High School Graduate
· 2-years professional box-truck driving experience
· Must obtain a clean driving record for 3 years
· Operate company vehicle in a safe manner including following all DOT regulations and local traffic ordinances
· CMV Medical Certification required or the ability to obtain one prior to joining the team.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
· Customer Service Oriented
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation
· $22.00 per hour
