GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced USACE Operations and Project Manager to work in Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The schedule is 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week. The position follows a 90 days on/ 30 days off rotation for a project duration of 30 months or longer. The salary range is between $225k to $250k, based on experience. Housing and travel are provided.
Position Summary:
The Operations Project Manager will oversee all phases of complex industrial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to successfully manage operations in a remote international environment. Previous U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of industrial construction projects from planning through execution and project closeout.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to 15-20 direct reports while overseeing about 300 indirect personnel.
- Manage overseas procurement, material ordering, and shipping logistics to support project execution.
- Identify project risks and implement solutions to maintain project objectives.
- Use Primavera P6 scheduling software to manage project timelines.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders throughout all phases of construction.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of industrial construction experience with a proven record of successful project delivery.
- Previous experience managing projects in remote or overseas locations is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of USACE experience is required.
- Proven experience managing large industrial construction projects valued at $10 million or more.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 is required.
- Experience managing projects involving concrete family housing, piers, tank farms, or similar heavy civil/ industrial infrastructure is required.
- Experience with overseas material procurement, ordering, and shipping logistics is required.
- Abilit to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Viewpoint is preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a current, valid U.S. Passport.
- Must be willing to travel 100% and remain onsite for 6 months or longer.
- Must successfully pass a drug screen, physical examination, and extensive background investigation.
