Duties
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, including those with autism and other developmental challenges.
- Support literacy and math instruction through tutoring, reinforcement activities, and personalized interventions aligned with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment.
- Provide childcare and supervision during classroom activities, ensuring safety and engagement for all students.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to facilitate interactive learning experiences tailored to early childhood education principles.
- Support students’ social-emotional development through mentoring, communication, and active engagement.
- Assist with classroom organization, proofreading educational materials, and preparing instructional resources as needed.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or private schools is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with disabilities and autism.
- Familiarity with Montessori, preschool, or other child-centered educational approaches is a plus.
- Strong understanding of educational compliance and regulation standards such as ESSA requirements.
- Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to enhance teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and students effectively.
- Experience in behavior management, tutoring, mentoring, or proofreading educational content is advantageous.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
