Stock Room Associate
Job Summary: The Stock Room Associate is responsible for managing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) inventory to ensure technicians and production teams have the parts, tools, and supplies needed to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations. This role supports both Maintenance and Production by maintaining accurate inventory, organizing the stockroom and tool crib, and ensuring timely distribution of materials.

Essential Functions – Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, part numbers, and locations
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate reorder needs to prevent shortages
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of all MRO parts
Issuing & Receiving
- Issue parts, tools, and supplies to maintenance technicians and production personnel
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for accuracy and damage, and properly stock items
- Track and document all inventory transactions in the CMMS or inventory system
Tool Crib Management
- Maintain control of company-owned tools and equipment
- Issue and track tools to employees, ensuring accountability and proper return
- Keep tool room clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times
Production & Maintenance Support
- Supply production lines with necessary materials to support efficient workflow
- Assist maintenance team by ensuring quick access to critical spare parts
- Support downtime reduction efforts by improving parts availability and organization
Equipment & Area Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized MRO stockroom and tool room
- Assist with cleaning and preparing rTPS fixtures, including SAM 1 & 2 and secondary sealer heads, allowing Glass Technicians to focus on proactive equipment maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and housekeeping standards (5S)
Systems & Documentation
- Accurately enter and track inventory transactions in CMMS or inventory systems
- Support continuous improvement by identifying inventory discrepancies and process gaps
- Assist in developing standard work for inventory handling and organization
Logistics & Material Handling
- Operate forklifts or other equipment to move, load, and unload materials as needed
- Assist with organizing and staging materials for maintenance and production use
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in inventory, stockroom, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
Skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or CMMS systems is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to become certified
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- High level of organization and accuracy
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to support both maintenance and production teams effectively
- Proactive approach to preventing shortages and downtime
Work Environment
- Able to spend time using a computer and phone which requires high attention to detail.
- Must be able to walk and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be punctual and able to stay on the job for the required hours.
