General Foreman – Industrial Electrical
Delta Wye Electric | Tempe, AZ
Full-Time | Competitive Pay + Full Benefits | Stable, Long-Term Work
You've Run Jobs. Now Run the People Who Run Jobs.
Delta Wye Electric is looking for a General Foreman to oversee large industrial electrical projects — often several at once. You're the level above the Foreman: planning scope and schedule, keeping crews of Journeymen and trainees productive, holding projects to budget, and making sure every jobsite you touch is safe, compliant, and delivered on time. You still know the work cold — but your job now is to drive delivery across multiple crews and be the person clients and the field count on.
Who We Are
Delta Wye Electric has been in business since 1980. We're a family-owned, merit shop industrial electrical contractor with over 100 employees across Arizona and California. Our clients are Fortune 500 manufacturers and industrial facilities — real projects with real scope, not punch-list work. We're licensed in 20+ states and growing, which means more opportunity for the right people.
A lot of our work is long-term relationships with existing clients — returning to facilities we know for upgrades, expansions, and new equipment. That means steady work, not chasing the next bid every few weeks.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate. Work with the Account Manager, estimators, and engineers to plan scope, schedule, and material. Interpret blueprints, coordinate with Operations and purchasing, and report progress.
- Lead multiple crews. Supervise, mentor, and assign Journeymen and Electrical Trainees to the work that fits their skills — across several projects at a time.
- Own the budget. Drive delivery within labor-hour, labor-dollar, material, and equipment budgets. This is where the job is won or lost.
- Run a safe jobsite. Lead job-safety analyses and toolbox talks, handle incident reporting and corrective action, and hold the line so everyone goes home the way they came in.
- Own quality and the client relationship. Run daily inspections and final job checklists, and serve as the onsite point of contact for the customer.
- Report accurately. Submit accurate weekly job sheets and hours-per-job to Operations.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience running industrial electrical construction — and experience leading Foremen or multiple crews at once.
- Deep knowledge of NEC code, engineering standards, and industrial electrical construction techniques.
- Strong command of blueprints, schematics, and technical specs, plus planning, scheduling, and material coordination.
- A track record of delivering projects on time and at or under budget on labor, material, and equipment.
- Real leadership — you develop trainees and Journ
