Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks, to move materials and products safely within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and participating in regular inventory counts.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating various forklifts, including order pickers and clamp trucks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and order processing.
