Job Summary
Join our dynamic finishing team as a Sewing Machine Operator - I! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of the stocking & pillow construction process, operating sewing machines to create high-quality pillows & stockings. Duties
- Operate various sewing machines to assemble stockings and pillows according to specified patterns and quality standards
- Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules to meet daily targets
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation to promote safety and efficiency in the manufacturing process
- Assist in troubleshooting sewing machine issues and perform basic cleaning as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Must be willing to stand 5-10 mins in order to steam or press the product during the construction process
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in sewing
- Experience preferred sewing pillows, apparel, setting zippers, and Christmas stockings on home or commercial machines
- Knowledge of working with velvet, silk, cotton, and upholstery fabrics
- Knowledge of needle point, pillows, and stockings (preferred but optional)
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a fast-moving production setting
- Must be able to read and follow work instructions
- Must be a U.S Citizen
