Overview:
Comfort Inn & Suites is looking for a dependable and experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel and ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and building systems remain clean, safe, and in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate has previous hotel maintenance experience, is self-motivated, and takes pride in providing outstanding service to our guests.
Previous hotel maintenance experience is required. Applicants without hotel maintenance experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and exterior grounds.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, appliances, televisions, door locks, and other hotel equipment.
- Complete daily maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests while providing excellent customer service.
- Repair drywall, paint walls and trim, replace ceiling tiles, and complete minor carpentry projects.
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
- Maintain the pool and spa equipment, if applicable, and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Replace light fixtures, outlets, switches, batteries, filters, and other building components as needed.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and general property upkeep.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and brand standards.
Qualifications:
Previous hotel maintenance experience is required. Applicants without hotel maintenance experience will not be considered. Background and drug test mandatory.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
