About the Role
Devoted Educational Solutions (DES) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students at Montague Charter Academy. This school serves a high population of Spanish-speaking students, and bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality, school-based services that help students access and fully participate in their educational program.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT
· Implement treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals
· Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of services
· Assist in the development and monitoring of IEP goals for assigned students
· Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
· Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
· Foster a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
· Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising OT or program team
Minimum Qualifications
· Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (ACOTE)
· Active California COTA license
· Ability to pass DOJ background check
· Current TB clearance
· Bilingual in Spanish preferred (eligible for stipend)
