Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe and Assistant, where you will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to transcribe and manage electronic health records (EHR) while supporting administrative tasks within a busy medical office environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring precise medical documentation.
- Assist healthcare providers by managing electronic health records (EHR), updating patient charts, and maintaining comprehensive medical records.
- Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms, handling medical supplies, and organizing patient files in accordance with confidentiality policies.
- Achieve HIPAA compliance by safeguarding protected health information (PHI) during all documentation and communication activities.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to facilitate clear and accurate record-keeping.
- Interact professionally with patients
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems efficiently for data entry, retrieval, and management of patient information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office settings or as a medical scribe is highly preferred; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential.
- Excellent transcription skills with the ability to type quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical confidentiality policies such as HIPAA.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous medical documentation while adhering to privacy standards.
- Prior experience in emergency room settings or with medical transcription is a plus; however, motivated learners are encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional writing skills paired with keen attention to detail for precise record management.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
