American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care hospital setting, requiring active CA RN licensure and cardiovascular OR experience.

Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) in an acute care hospital setting
-
1 CVOR suite performing approximately 2 cases per week, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy
-
Circulator ratio of 2 RNs per case
-
EMR: Cerner and SurgiNet
-
10-hour day shifts, every other weekend (EOW) required
-
On-call required; CVOR call is split and rotated separately from general OR call, with 1 CVOR RN currently covering every night
-
30-minute call response time required

Floating within the OR to other specialties only (first to float)

Holiday coverage required
-
Active CA RN license required; must be active at time of consideration — pending licenses will not be accepted

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience required

Cerner and/or SurgiNet EMR experience preferred

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Scrubbing is not required but is considered a plus

Orientation is approximately one week or until comfortable

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
