American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with orthopedic and da Vinci experience for a hospital Operating Room position requiring prior travel experience.

Full-time position in a hospital Operating Room setting

Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week

Weekend, call, and holiday coverage is required

13-week contract
-
CST certification through NBSTSA or NCCT required
-
BLS certification required
-
Prior travel experience required
-
Orthopedic surgical experience required
-
Hands-on scrubbing experience required
-
Da Vinci robotic surgical system experience required

Completed and approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience, with successful achievement on a medications exam

Knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment and instrumentation used in an OR setting

Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in

2 professional references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager — from within the past year and relevant to the surgical specialty — required for consideration

License required if applicable

Work under the direct supervision of an RN, assisting with nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient

Perform technical scrub duties with precise and efficient response to all intraoperative situations

Responsible for establishing and maintaining a sterile surgical field and ensuring surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely

May be asked to precept new staff members

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
