Grand Industrial is hiring an experienced Industrial Lead Carpenter to lead crews on industrial and commercial construction projects throughout Indiana and surrounding states.
This is a working leadership position. You'll spend most of your time in the field working alongside your crew while coordinating daily activities, maintaining quality, and ensuring projects are completed safely and on schedule.
A company vehicle is available for qualifying candidates.
Responsibilities
- Lead crews on industrial and commercial construction projects
- Work alongside your team performing skilled carpentry and construction work
- Build, install, and repair walls, framing, concrete forms, doors, finishes, and other structural components
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment
- Maintain high standards for safety, workmanship, and productivity
- Communicate with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule
- Complete daily reports, timecards, and project documentation
- Mentor and develop less experienced carpenters
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial or industrial carpentry experience preferred
- Previous experience leading a crew or serving as a Lead Carpenter, Foreman, Crew Leader, or Supervisor
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with concrete, framing, structural steel, doors, finishes, and general construction
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel to project sites and work overtime as needed
- Concrete work experience perferred
- Steel construction perferred
- Welding perferred

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
