Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will monitor and evaluate concrete production and placement to ensure it meets strict industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Materials Testing: Sample and test fresh concrete for slump (workability), air content, temperature, and unit weight.
- Quality Assurance: Mold, cure, test concrete cylinders in a laboratory to measure compressive strength.
- Site Inspections: Monitor pour sites to ensure proper placement, curing, and dimensional accuracy.
- Documentation: Record daily test data and maintain compliance records based on American Concrete Institute and other regulatory standards.
- Troubleshooting: Work closely with project managers, operators, and suppliers to identify and adjust mix designs if performance issues occurs.
Qualifications
- Certifications: American Concrete Institute (ACI) certifications (especially Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1) are the industry standard.
- Physical Ability: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift heavy objects, and stand or walk for long periods.
- Technical skills: Basic math, data entry, and understanding of construction priciples.
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
