A rapidly growing General Contractor/Construction Management firm in the Cheshire, Connecticut area is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join its expanding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of construction projects and will have a clear path toward promotion into a full Project Manager role.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects
- Process and manage RFIs, RFPs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Track project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities
- Assist with project meetings and maintain accurate project records
- Support contract administration and change order management
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and in compliance with contract requirements
- Utilize Procore for project management, documentation, and communication
Qualifications
- Several years of Assistant Project Manager experience within the construction industry
- Procore experience is required
- Experience supporting commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation, submittals, RFIs, and project coordination
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
