Compensation
Starting at $15.00 per hour during paid training.
At Small Project Handyman, your pay grows as your skills grow.
Our apprenticeship program rewards reliability, work ethic, craftsmanship, and a willingness to learn. Team members who successfully complete training and demonstrate consistent performance have the opportunity to earn up to $25.00 per hour within their first 90 days.
This is more than an entry-level position—it’s the first step toward becoming a professional tradesman and future Lead Handyman.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work directly alongside one of our experienced Lead Handymen, learning the trade through real-world, hands-on experience.
Projects may include:
· Carpentry
· Drywall repair
· Trim installation
· Door and hardware installation
· Fixture installation
· Home repairs
· General maintenance
· Basic plumbing repairs
· Basic electrical fixture replacement
· Customer service
· Job site organization
· Learning professional repair techniques
No two days are exactly the same, which means you’ll constantly be learning new skills.

Qualifications
· Basic knowledge of hand tools
· Reliable transportation
· Ability to pass a background check
· Professional appearance and attitude
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work independently after training
· Carpentry Technology graduates are encouraged to apply
Physical Requirements
This position requires someone who can:
· Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
· Bend, kneel, squat, and climb throughout the day
· Work safely outdoors during Oklahoma summers
· Perform physically demanding work while maintaining attention to detail
Scheduling Expectations
Our regular work schedule is:
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We believe work-life balance matters, so we do not work nights, weekends, or scheduled overtime.
Because we schedule work based on customer demand, your job assignments may occasionally be finalized later in the evening for the following workday. Employees are expected to be available for work each scheduled weekday, even if they have not yet received their assignment.
