Are you energetic, compassionate, and committed to lifelong learning? Join our growing team at Excentia Human Services as a Behavior Specialist Consultant and help provide trauma-informed, behavioral health support to children and families.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide individual and family sessions in the child’s natural environments of the home, school and community.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the child/adolescent in following classroom expectations, improving social interactions, and developing strategies for self-regulation.
- Provide individual therapy that involves flexible, tailored interventions that support the child’s/adolescent’s overall well-being and help the child/adolescent function effectively in their daily environments.
- Provide family sessions to strengthen family dynamics, improving communication, and providing caregivers with tools to support their child’s/adolescent’s emotional and behavioral needs.
- Ensure confidentiality of treatment and files of the child/adolescent.
- Document interactions and progress in the child/adolescent files, ensuring accurate records of treatment sessions and outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
- A compassionate, energetic, and open-minded team leader
- Availability to work in homes, schools, and community settings
- Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other related fields of study and a minimum of 1 year full-time experience providing mental health therapy services to children, youth or young adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have reliable transportation.
