Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Fire Alarm Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients by leading technical teams, managing system design processes, and delivering exceptional field service. Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and local codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate system setup and modifications.
- Oversee construction inspections to verify compliance with specifications, NEC (National Electrical Code), and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution from system design to completion.
- Conduct field service visits for routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades on low voltage fire alarm circuits.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to install sensors, control panels, power supplies, and alarm devices.
- Provide mentorship to junior technicians while maintaining high standards of safety, quality control, and technical excellence.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and CAD software for fire alarm system design.
- Strong electrical experience with low voltage wiring, sensors integration, and NEC compliance.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fire sprinkler fitting and construction inspection processes.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving fire alarm systems and related alarm sales.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with fire alarm system components such as sensors, control panels, annunciators, and power supplies.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely for installation and repair tasks.
- Knowledge of construction practices including site inspection procedures to ensure project adherence to plans.
