Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including dump truck, trailer, roll off truck, and flatbed.
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment as needed.
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information.
- Communicate with foremen and co-workers to coordinate delivery details.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) minimum of Class - B, with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with the ability to drive a commercial truck with a manual transmission. (6, 10 wheeler, Tri-axle)
- Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check and hold a valid DOT medical card.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with foremen, co-workers, and other drivers on the road.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to sit for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed.
