American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 2 Special Care Nursery/NICU position requiring 2+ years of relevant nursery experience and NRP certification.

Work in an 8-bed Special Care Level 2 Nursery within an acute care hospital setting
-
Patient population includes full term, early term, and pre-term neonates
-
Common diagnoses and treatments include NAS/NOWS, TTN, IV antibiotics, Bubble CPAP, and OG/NG feeds
-
Patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3
-
Uses Meditech and GE Centricity EHR systems
-
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Weekend requirement of 2 shifts per month

No on-call requirements

Float requirements to Mother/Baby Postpartum unit

Active RN license (KY or Compact) required

Current certifications: NRP, STABLE, and BLS

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 Nursery or higher NICU setting

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Provide neonatal care in a Special Care Nursery including attending deliveries and initiating/running NRP resuscitation when needed

Facility is an undesignated trauma level, 295-bed acute care hospital
-
Scrub color required is Royal Blue or hospital-issued OR scrubs
-
Hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted attire

Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate

Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment

Weekly orientation occurs on Mondays
