Campground Maintenance & Groundskeeper
Part-Time Summer Position (Potential for Full-Time, Year-Round Growth)
Camp Tohi is seeking a dependable, hands-on Campground Maintenance & Groundskeeper to help care for our 300-acre woodland camp in Quakertown, PA.
Originally established as a Girl Scout camp, Tohi is currently undergoing an exciting period of restoration. In addition to caring for our grounds, trails, and guest facilities, you'll help restore previous camp structures, improve infrastructure, and contribute to conservation projects that will shape the future of the property.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining beautiful spaces, and wants to be part of a family-run operation that serves our local community. You'll work independently and at times alongside the owners, helping maintain forest trails, campsites, glamping accommodations, facilities, and common areas.
At Tohi, we think of this role as a Campground Ranger - someone who helps maintain facilities, care for our grounds, and create a welcoming environment for guests. While we are initially offering this job as a summer part-time opportunity, it has the potential to grow into a full-time, year-round position for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
Grounds & Land Stewardship
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Maintain roads, campsites, gathering spaces, and other outdoor amenities
- Maintain expanding trail network, and support conservation initiatives
- Prepare firewood for campers
Maintenance & Operations
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the campground
- Maintain glamping pods, shelters, campsites, and common facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and facility issues as skills allow
- Operate and maintain equipment including mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws, trimmers, and other tools
- Assist with restoration and improvement projects across the property
- Document completed work and communicate supply, equipment, or repair needs
Guest & Team Support
- Work closely with campground ownership to prioritize projects and property needs
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues as they arise

Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding outdoor work
- Ability to safely operate power equipment and tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work occasional weekends or emergency situations when needed
