Seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist / Scheduler who has a friendly personality, professional appearance, and strong communication skills for our office in Webster/Clear Lake, TX.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors promptly and professionally.
- Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries, providing information on surgical and non-surgical procedures of interest, or other needed information.
- Schedule appointments, update patient records, work with designated surgery centers/hospitals to coordinate patient care.
- Call patients to confirm, follow-up, or reschedule appointments/surgery, as needed.
- Verify insurance information and obtain referrals, as needed.
- Scan, fax, and/or copy medical records into EMR system or to designated location.
- Document accurate patient information, including patient demographics, medical history, and important verbal or non-verbal communication regarding medical care.
- Maintain patient flow by utilizing EMR and alerting clinical staff upon arrival of patients.
- Review patient balances and process payment transactions.
- Update appropriate system applications/patient logs for provided services, purchased products, and scheduled surgeries.
- Provide pre & post-operative care, prescriptions, imaging, tests, and surgical orders.
- Stock exam rooms, maintain inventory, and order supplies as needed; Assist in minor in-office procedures, clean and sterilize instruments, as needed or requested.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, updating calendars, and other administrative support.
- Hold a high level of professionalism at all times while interacting with patients, families of patients, visitors, and staff members.
- Maintain a positive attitude, well-groomed appearance, and professional attire at all times.
- Practice patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
- Perform other job related duties, as assigned or requested.

- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records and other computer applications.
- Excellent customer service and patient liaison skills.
- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, highly organized, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask, be a team player, and work in a fast paced environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a Physician’s Office or Medical Office setting required; Cosmetic/Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery or Dermatology experience, strongly preferred.
- Education: High School diploma, required; Associate’s degree or higher, strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, strongly preferred.
