Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly and accurately
- Install, service, and maintain HVAC systems—including air conditioning units—and refrigeration appliances to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct appliance repairs across various settings, including kitchen equipment maintenance such as ovens, dishwashers, and other commercial appliances
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site repairs or equipment deliveries while adhering to all safety protocols
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to facilitate precise repairs and installations
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects or training sessions to promote safety standards and operational excellence
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, or mechanical systems repair
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and kitchen equipment maintenance is essential
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting and repairs
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance across diverse systems
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices in commercial or industrial environments
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles safely
- Construction experience or familiarity with building systems is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Leadership qualities with an eagerness to support team efforts in maintenance tasks
