Cook II – Full-Time – Penmac Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Cook II for a full-time position with a local client. This role is ideal for someone with solid cooking experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in preparing quality meals. The Cook II works alongside kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to established standards. This position offers a consistent daytime schedule with some flexibility and occasional weekend shifts.
Schedule:
- Full-time
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Some flexibility required
- Some weekend availability required
Cook II Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work area
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating
- Monitor food inventory and report shortages as needed
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Requirements for the Cook II
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and food quality
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screenings
