Job Summary:
The HR Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, leave administration, and HRIS management. This role serves as a key resource for employees and management, ensuring efficient HR operations while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company policies. The HR Generalist utilizes Paycom to manage employee data, recruitment processes, onboarding activities, benefits, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Coordinate hiring managers' recruitment activities and provide guidance throughout the hiring process.
- Utilize Paycom's applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines and hiring workflows.
- Schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, and prepare offer letters.
- Support employer branding and talent acquisition initiatives.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
- Ensure completion of all employment documentation and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings and background checks.
- Utilize Paycom to enter employee data and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Partner with managers to ensure successful employee integration and engagement.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with policy development, implementation, and employee communication.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Support audits and compliance reporting activities.
- Monitor and communicate regulatory changes affecting HR practices.
- Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, military leave, and other applicable leave policies.
- Communicate leave eligibility, rights, and responsibilities to employees and managers.
- Track leave requests and documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Coordinate return-to-work processes and accommodation requests.
- Maintain accurate leave records within Paycom and applicable tracking systems.
- Maintain employee records and data integrity within Paycom.
- Generate HR reports and metrics to support business decisions.
- Assist employees with Paycom self-service tools and questions.
- Support payroll processing activities as needed and collaborate with payroll personnel to resolve issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Assist with employee relations matters and conduct investigations as needed.
- Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
- Support performance management and employee development programs.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of human resources experience required.
- Experience using Paycom or similar HRIS/ATS platform required.
- Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and related regulations.
