Hiring A Full-Time, short term, Automotive Field Safety Professional (GM) in the Detroit, MI area.
Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions, Inc. located in Industry, Pennsylvania is looking for a full-time, temporary, Field Safety Professional / Leader residing in the Detroit MI area, who is seeking a personal and professional challenge and wants to grow within our company.
This position is on a month to month basis. HOWEVER, we have numerous positions to be filled in the near future. Full time, long term could result from this position.
- About EHSS: We provide safety and operational solutions to our partners nationwide. They are Owners, Construction Management Companies, General Contractors, Specialty Contractors, and Associations that serve a wide range of industries, including Coal, Gas & Nuclear Power Generation, Steel, Chemical, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas.
EHSS’s team of safety professionals, represent and serve our partners focus on driving and/or establishing our clients safety vision, and culture, while providing leadership and direction to support a workplace that encourages observation, advising, coaching and corrective actions.

Position Requirements:
*** Must be within commuting distance in the Detroit MI area***
- 3 plus years’ experience as a Safety Professional in the United States **REQUIRED**
- One or more of the following: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, BCSP Certification(s), or comparable experience within the Industry working as a Safety Professional **Required**
- Experience with Automotive Construction **REQUIRED**
- Lockout, Energy Control, MPS and SCS for General Motors ****PREFERRED
- Ensure effective communication of client safety policies, reports, workplace rules, requirements, and procedures. Provide safety training and orientation for both new and existing team members, offering guidance, encouragement for safety observations, coaching, and corrective actions.
- Maintain a strong in-field safety presence while clearly conveying the safety expectations set by the owner/contractor. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local, and site-specific safety regulations.
- Conduct and document job site audits, observations, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards, reduce risks, and address safety gaps through informed recommendations.
- Assist in the execution of safety-related process improvements and proactively identify hazardous conditions, ensuring they are communicated, documented, and resolved effectively.
- Communicate confidently and fluently in English, engaging with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is required

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
