Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer's.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status using EMR or EHR systems.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment.
- Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation is essential.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in caregiving or home health aide training are a plus.
- Familiarity with catheter care, hospice care, and memory care practices is beneficial.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition are necessary.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while providing compassionate care to clients.
- Must be comfortable working with individuals with disabilities and developmental challenges.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
