Courtyard by Marriott Lackland in San Antonio is seeking a strong, experienced Bistro Lead / Guest Service Expert to join our team. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a small team, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The successful candidate must have prior Marriott hotel experience, working knowledge of Micros Symphony POS, and the ability to work either AM or PM shifts, including weekends and holidays as business demands require.
This role is responsible for overseeing daily Bistro operations, ensuring service excellence, supporting team development, and creating memorable experiences for our guests through food and beverage service.

As a Bistro Lead / Guest Service Expert, you will:
Lead and motivate a small Bistro team to deliver exceptional guest service
Support daily Bistro operations during AM breakfast and PM bar service
Train, coach, and mentor team members to maintain Marriott brand standards
Ensure all guests receive friendly, professional, and efficient service
Take food and beverage orders accurately and courteously
Operate Micros Symphony POS system efficiently
Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with recipes and state liquor regulations
Verify legal drinking age and maintain compliance with TABC requirements
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily sales accountability
Prepare bar mixes, garnishes, and stock all beverage and food service areas
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times
Assist with inventory management and shift-to-shift accountability
Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate
Work collaboratively with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Management teams
Complete all required reports, documentation, and operational checklists

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

At least one year of food and beverage related experience or equivalent
